William Ryder's return is a major boost for Fiji as they attempt to halt New Zealand's unbeaten start to the season.
The Fiji Rugby Union has included exciting match-winner William Ryder in a wider training squad to come together ahead of the next two events in the IRB Sevens World Series in Hong Kong and Adelaide.
Ryder has been plying his trade in Japan in the fifteen-a-side game but returns alongside the likes of Nasoni Roko, Marika Vunibaka and Semisi Naevo.
Ryder was the highest points-scorer last season but is yet to take part in the 2007/08 World Series.
Argentina name Sevens squad
Argentina have taken the early step of naming their playing squad of 12 for those next two events.
One notable ommission is Pablo Gomez Cora, brother of all time leading Sevens try-scorer Santiago, who will stay in Argentina for the birth of his first child.
The rest of the outfit has a settled look with Martin Bustos Moyano and Gonzalo Oscar Camacho the only two players not to have played in Wellington and San Diego in the last two rounds of the series.
The UAR has also announced a change of coach for the two tournaments, Gonzalo Garcia Orsetti taking over from Duncan Forrester, who led the side to the final of the Plate in San Diego.
