[April 1, 2012, Tokyo] Hong Kong fell to France in the Bowl Semi Final of the Tokyo Sevens 26 - 15 today to finish in the top 12 of an HSBC Sevens World Series event for the first time ever.

[March 30, 2012, Hong Kong] HKRFU Head of Performance and Coaching/National Coach Dai Rees is looking for a renewed focus from his charges despite being drawn alongside current HSBC Sevens World Series leaders New Zealand, sixth-ranked Australia and the USA in Pool A at this weekend's Tokyo Sevens (March 31 - April 1).

Famous for its rollicking carnival and Calypso, Guyana will bring plenty of dash and colour to the party on the occasion of its debut performance at the Hong Kong Sevens. With just over 1,000 registered players, Guyana punched above its weight when they won the North American Caribbean Rugby Association Sevens championship last November. The 31-0 victory over the Cayman Islands in the final earned the islanders an IRB invite to the 2012 Hong Kong Sevens. Guyana is the 50th country to take part in the Hong Kong Sevens since its inception in 1976.
