The hosts are proven giant-killers. In 2010, they claimed the big scalp of Wales in pool play and then in a thrilling run on the last day, accounted for South Korea, Italy and Russia to lift the inaugural Shield title. Hong Kong will be keen to make up for last year's disappointment of losing all their games, beaten by South Africa, Wales and Spain in pool competition before going down to China in a high-scoring Shield quarterfinal. With an invitation to take part in the Japan Sevens in Tokyo the following week, coach Dai Rees and his men will again be out to claim their share of scalps. |
